Ingredients
- 2 slices of sourdough or white bread
- 2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 slice of gruyere or swiss cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, room temperature
- Optional: Tomato soup for dipping
Instructions
- Butter: Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble: Place one slice butter-side down in a skillet. Top with cheese and the other slice of bread (butter-side up).
- Cook: Cook on medium-low heat until golden brown and crispy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Flip: Carefully flip and cook the other side until the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Cut in half diagonally and serve with tomato soup.
